Claude can now peek at your WordPress analytics

So here's something I wasn't expecting to see today. WordPress quietly rolled out a feature that connects Claude directly to your site's backend analytics. Yeah, the AI can now tell you why your bounce rate spiked last Tuesday.
I've been testing this for a couple hours, and honestly? It's weirdly useful. Instead of clicking through five different WordPress dashboard tabs trying to find that one metric, you just ask Claude. Want to know which blog post tanked last month? Or maybe figure out why traffic from Germany suddenly tripled? Claude pulls it all up instantly. The integration works through WordPress.com's API, so you'll need a business plan or higher to use it.
What really caught my attention is how it handles complex queries. I asked Claude to compare my mobile versus desktop conversion rates for the past quarter and suggest improvements. Not only did it pull the data, but it spotted that my mobile checkout was taking forever to load. Would I have figured that out eventually? Probably. But having an AI assistant spot it in seconds? That's the kind of time-saver I can get behind.
The setup took me about three minutes. You generate an API key in your WordPress settings, paste it into Claude, and boom. Full access to your traffic data, user behavior, and site performance metrics. Just remember that Claude can only read your data, not make changes. Which is probably for the best.
